Russian Spy Ship Cruising 70 Miles off U.S. Coast, Capable of Electronic Communications Intercepts and Armed with Missiles…

A Russian spy ship was spotted patrolling off the East Coast of the United States on Tuesday morning, the first such patrol since President Trump took office, two U.S. officials told Fox News.

The Russian spy ship was 70 miles off the coast of Delaware, heading north at 10 knots, according to one official. That location means the ship is in international waters. The U.S. territory line is 12 nautical miles.

It was not immediately clear where the Russian spy ship was headed.

The ship, the SSV-175 Viktor Leonov, last sailed near the U.S. in April 2015, an official said. The ship is capable of intercepting communications or signals, known as SIGINT, as well as measuring U.S. Navy sonar capability, a separate official said.

  1. A thought or two.
You can’t hear digital traffic from 70 miles out!
Still here goes. Height of electronics package say 100/150 feet
Radar horizon 14/17 miles, visual horizon= 12/15 miles
Radio horizon 100’s of miles HF or lower.
Still the article does say they don’t know where it is going.

Billions in military satellite technology and they didn’t know till it was 70 miles out? (Possible)
Long distance Radar needs re-tuning? (Maybe)
    CIA BBQ day? (Snigger)
Mil Intel attending a baby shower? (Laughing here)
    Coast Guards day off? (ROTFL)

    Hows about the biggies:-
What, no one in the world does this Intel gathering besides the Russians?
Nope, I’ve got it, they waited to tell the media because it was “the first such patrol since President Trump took office”, so it’s got to be all Trump’s fault!

Ships don’t just materialize, someone knew.
This has bad politics written all over it OR complete incompetence.
So deliver the responsible heads of all the listed departments on duty that day to the unemployment queue. AFTER a public inquiry to name and shame them.
