Daryl Metcalfe (R-PA) reacted to being touched on the arm by Rep. Matt Bradford (D-PA):
The House Affairs Committee had a meeting on Tuesday and Bradford touched Metcalfe’s arm. Metcalfe interrupted the Democrat in mid-speech and exclaimed, “Representative Bradford, Look, I’m a heterosexual. I have a wife, I love my wife. I don’t like men, as you might. But stop touching me all the time.”
Making a reference to the Democrats, Metcalfe also fired off adding, “It’s like, keep your hands to yourself. Keep your hands to yourself. Like, if you want to touch somebody, you have people on your side of the aisle that might like it. I don’t.”
“My intent was just to beg for your permission for about 30 seconds,” said the Pennsylvania liberal.
“Then beg, don’t touch,” snapped Metcalfe.
Metcalfe later defended his words by saying the Democrat kept “continually reaching out and touching me. If someone touches another person, and they say, ‘stop touching me,’ and they don’t stop, that’s seriousbusiness.” He even said that such touching could be called “battery.”
