When I share my thoughts here, I often think I’ve settled the issue once and for all. That’s not the case though, as people have to be reminded of what was said and, believe it or not, not every American visits our humble site every day. I also tend to be very succinct, and not every reader grasps the full import of what was conveyed in my direct, brief statement.
Here we are again, after another evil murderer gunned down some Americans. Here we go again with the Democrats standing on the freshly dug graves, scripting and directing some of the emotionally distraught victims, lying, fabricating data, and demanding we disarm.
To even suggest such an evil thing is to commit treason, and any politician who murmurs under their breath any such filth should be arrested, tried, convicted and imprisoned. Any citizen blathering similar should immediately lose their voting rights, and possibly their citizenship.
Every reason the “progressives” list as cause to disarm is exactly the reason we will not.
I have trouble with what passes as reason on the left; “Madmen are shooting up people in the streets…so let’s disarm Americans and import more madmen by the boatload, and manufacture more from our own by forcing liberal madness on society and by doping up kids.” How about we stop importing savages, and track down a kill murderers?
The Democrats have succeeded in proving beyond a doubt that THEY shouldn’t have firearms. Most mass shooters are lefties, and don’t forget Obama’s brilliant plan to force gun stores to sell illegally to drug gangs so that people would be murdered in the streets and the resulting public outcry might make disarming Americans possible…”Fast and Furious.”
How about rethinking “lock-downs?” So you’ve doped up a kid, tormented him with sick liberal propaganda, allowed him to be bullied, recognized he’s evil…then when he returns with a weapon to murder others…you’re best plan is to lock everyone in with the killer? Why not open the doors and let them run? (My daughter suggested bullet-proof desks and doors, which is also a great idea.)
Has anyone realized that sending your children to public schools is not the best idea? Before the Florida shooter attacked and before he was expelled, he set in the classroom every day with other kids. Maybe we should get people with evil in their hearts out of schools, out of society, and lock them away? Why force a child to set next to them?
Add in the number of predatory female (and male) teachers who are hooking up with kids for sex, the crap kids are subjected to passed off as curriculum, and the fact that unless your spouse makes $13.00 an hour or more you’re actually earning less than if you stayed home and schooled your child rather than passing them off to strangers…and it really doesn’t seem like a great idea.
Democrats always ask for a “reasoned debate” on firearms.
In the last fifty years when has any Democrat ever approached anything remotely recognizable as “reason?” You’re talking about the party of make believe. Their issues are simply not real things: gay marriage, global warming, magic gender transmutations, multiple genders, inequality, war on women, etc.
None of these things are real. How could we have a real debate with people who don’t operate in reality? I wonder how the same group who thinks it’s a “right” to slaughter 3,000 babies a day, somehow developed a concern for children’s lives.
Let’s look at the left’s “arguments”:
Now the truth:
I believe the U.S. Constitution is a GOD given document, and to me it ranks second only to the King James Bible. The Founders were brilliant and honorable men, way more intelligent than most everyone alive today, and they most certainly did foresee advanced weapons being developed and intended them to be in the hands of U.S. citizens. We can let some of these early Americans speak for themselves:
Samuel Adams: “The Constitution shall never be construed to prevent the people of the United States who are peaceable citizens from keeping their own arms.”
Tench Coxe said: “Congress have no power to disarm the militia. Their swords, and every other terrible implement of the soldier, are the birth-right of an American. …The unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state governments, but, where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands of the people.”
George Mason settled the question of militia by asking and answering: “Who are the militia? They consist of the whole people, except a few public officers.”
Noah Webster said, “The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword, because the whole body of the people are armed, and constitute a force superior to any band of regular troops.”
“And what country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. … The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.” — Thomas Jefferson
Writing in the Federalist Paper No.46, James Madison said, “The Constitution preserves the advantage of being armed which Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation … (where) the governments are afraid to trust the people with arms.”
In Federalist Paper No. 28, Alexander Hamilton said, “If the representatives of the people betray their constituents, there is no recourse left but in the exertion of that original right of self-defense which is paramount to all forms of positive government.”
Richard Henry Lee said, “To preserve liberty it is essential that the whole body of the people always possess arms and be taught alike, especially when young, how to use them.”
Joseph Story (Supreme Court Justice) said: “The right of the citizens to keep and bear arms has justly been considered, as the palladium of the liberties of a Republic; since it offers a strong moral check against the usurpation and arbitrary power of rulers…” – excerpt from ‘Commentaries on the Constitution’ (1833).
