- The mother of a girl who survived says passengers were being ‘sucked’ back into the lake by the sinking boat
- The Ride the Ducks boat capsized on Table Rock Lake in Branson, Missouri, on Thursday at 7pm
- The boat was carrying 31 people when aggressive storms rolled over the area and thrashed the water
- Eleven people were pulled dead from the water on Friday night and seven were taken to the hospital
- On Friday morning, another six bodies were pulled from the water including three belonging to children
- Passengers on other boats on the water filmed harrowing footage of the boat being overpowered by waves
- The National Weather Service issued a severe storm warning at 6.30pm on Thursday, 30 minutes earlier

I liked this but not because of the loss of life.
It reminded me of a fully laden duck sinking in Dublin.
No one died but nearly all got a belly full of River Liffey and suffered the ‘usual’ effects aka up-chucking!!!
Some locals pointing out to the media that the River was well contaminated with recycled Guinness!

They’re basically a floating 2 1/2 ton truck, so not the most seaworthy of crafts. I think they required a great deal of modification and rigging to get them to work for the military.
I’ve passed them a few places, but it never seemed like a great idea to ride in one.
